Starting in 1977 with then Liverpool Captain Emlyn Huges holding aloft the European Cup after beating Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico. The following year Liverpool retain their title as "Kings of Europe" after beating Bruges 1-0 at Wembley stadium in 1978.  1981 saw Liverpool's third victory in Paris against Real Madrid and then in 1984 a return to the Stadio Olimpico for The Reds, this time beating the at home hosts AS Roma to claim the European crown for the fourth time.

Liverpool's fifth victory was the thrilling and now legendary 2005 Final at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul against AC Milan, this time the silverware was for keeps!
