Legends - The Busby Babes - Montage Presentation Description
This moving montage presentation includes 5 quality mounted pictures each with its own individual plaque which details information on the unfolding scences of the 1958 Munich air disaster and a squad photo of the team from 1957/58.
Also included is a central plaque titled Legends, The Busby Babes and includes the following information :
On 6th February 1958, the Manchester United team, known as the ‘Busby Babes’ were all but wiped out when the plane carrying them home from a successful match in Belgrade crashed on take-off from Munich Airport. Captain Roger Byrne, Tommy Taylor, David Pegg, Bill Whelan, Eddie Colman, Mark Jones and Geoff Bent were killed instantly.

Sir Matt Busby says goodbye to Professor Maurer as he leaves hospital after the accident in Munich. He was not expected to recover but proved the doctors wrong.
